An Interview with Britney Somers

South Florida radio listeners are familiar with the comedy production personality formerly known as Boca Brian from The Neil Rogers Show. The phenomenal radio powerhouse that maintained double digit ratings in the South Florida market (ZETA-4 FM, WIOD, and WQAM) for over twenty years.

“Boca” was nationally syndicated by ABC Radio in the 1990's and provided the innovative comedy and multifaceted production, including voicing, singing, and creating music for a wide range of observational material.

Few were aware that the“Voices” behind the comedy bit microphone were that of Boca Britany.

An accomplished transgender individual with an extensive broadcasting background and outgoing personality, Boca has been living a full time transgender life for well over ten years. Her experience offers a unique perspective on transgender life with a sense of humor and fun.

The only “genuine” transgender radio show host on the air, Boca Britany served as Transgender Liaison for the Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine Cultural Correctness and Standardized Patient Program; Communications Director for the Broward County Department of Health STD Prevention Program Office; and a committee member for Practicing Physician symposiums.

Boca Britany's mission is to undo the damage of media typecasting which has contributed to the fear and misunderstanding of the mainstream public toward transgender individuals. She believes acceptance can be achieved by shedding light on responsible transgender individuals who are leading fulfilling and successful lives.

Hate and abuse in the LGBT community

Tonights show will focus on a topic that is very dear to all of us in the Rainbow family.  We face many obstacles besides trying to deal with our own issues. The outside world is cruel and does not want to take the time to understand, so it is easier to hate, judge and hurt us in the end.

Listen at 11 pm eastern standard time, call in with your questions or comments. See ya there.

Logan Wetzel

Stay tune for tomorrow nights show an Interview with Logan Wetzel who is a 39 year old Female to Male Transsexual.

My name is Logan Wetzel. I am a 39 year old trans man, and father of four amazing boys. All 4 boys are from the same father, and we have been married for 11 years and separated for 3. My "spouse" Tom is my best friend, and I would be lost without him. He is part of the reason I am who I am today...Tom is the rock on which I stand, and he deserves a great deal of credit...I come from a childhood of a hateful mother. I had a younger brother who was killed in 95 by a drunk driver. My mother disowned me, and said she wished I had never been born, and she told me that she should have had an abortion with me when she had the chance. I had money saved for my chest on 2 different occasions, and had it stolen from me 2xs. I am currently taking a class at John Casablancas Modeling/Acting Career Center, so that I can further my career in the entertainment industry. I also have a Documentary on the back burner...I will hopefully be enrolling into collage sometime soon, for Security as my main course. I am a huge advocate of legalizing Marijuana for multiple reasons.....I enjoy all music with my favorites being country and folk, and love all movies especially Horror, sci-fi and fantasy. I am a gamer who enjoys table top stuff, as well as mmorpgs. I also dig zombies, with The Walking Dead being my favorite show. I love everyone...Well most everyone, my tolerance level for stupid people is very low. I plan to make my kids and entertainment my life. By doing this i think I can bring a positive light to the LGBT community. The more visible the better...I also hope to land a gig (commercial or whatever) so that I can pay for my chest.

Elvira Diaz immigrant from Mexico City Catholic single mom divorce with two kids Shirley Diaz (23) Christian Arroyo(7). After a divorce of a marriage of 15 years I decide to start my life all over and have one more child as a single Mom. At that time I was the director of Religious Education for the Catholic Church in Saint John of Baptist in Costa Mesa CA. I got fired from been pregnant outside marriage. I decide to have my child and after my child was born I move to Sparks Nevada. The physical body of my child is female. For the first 4 years of his life I have a baby Girl Jessica Astrid Arroyo. I notice something different on my baby. She like Winnie the Pooh, Spider Man and played with cars, She did not like to wear dresses and acts like a boy. She is very good looking but she did not like to take pictures.

One day she told me that she was a Boy and wants to have a winnie. I did not know what was happening to my little girl. I am an activist myself and I always defend the immigrant rights in this country. I went to a Gay event to talk about immigrant rights, I went with Jessica and after that event I notice many girls looked like my Jessica like a boy not a lesbian, like boys but older. One week before the event Jessica wanted me to cut her long blonde hair and I did after that people around me told me you have a very handsome boy. I did my research to find out what was happening to my baby, I spent the whole Sunday with my daughter Shirley watching on you tube episodes of transgender children. I cry after that day. But I learn that I have a transgender child. When it was Jessie’s Birthday, he decide to be called Christian and use he, instead of she, was for me like learning a new language. I felt confused and many of my old friends criticized me until now.

But I know today that Christian is happy with who he is and I am going to support him until I die.
I have been involved in many different ways helping the lives of all transgender individuals making their lives better. I will advocate for them until I die. God Bless you for being yourself.

Changing gender does it change your sexuality

Many transgender individuals after undergoing hormonal treatments change many of their likes and dislikes it seems that hormones have a way of doing these things due to the specifics of the receptors and chemical interaction with the brain. I for one started to become attracted to males, something I wouldn't even dream off when I was Maritza ( my given birth name ).  But as much as I was curious about males and felt attracted to them after years into my transition, I still felt the need to be with a feminine energy that I grew to accustomed to be with. Hence my fascination and adoration to my future wife Jessica who is a male to female transsexual. I couldn't ask for a better being to spend the rest of my life with. In fact I feel I have found my perfect match and can now say I feel complete.

Join us tonight 10/4/12 at 11 pm where we will be discussing this and many more important issues being faced by transgender individuals.

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/transitionradio

We are complexed beings and to think that we can all be placed into little boxes is not only bizzare but untrue. Rise up human family and realize we are all unique and beautiful in our own way. Don't let society or anyone dictate who you are. Stop blending in and conforming. We are transgender and I salute you all.

Much Love

MarkAngelo & Jessica Lynn Cummings.

Trans Awakening

I sit back and reminisce about my life, the every turn I took as my journey unfolded before my very eyes. I now realize there are no coincidence in life, everything has a purpose and a lesson. I am who I am due to the spirits need to express and create its natural being. Most transgender individuals see this as a curse, but I have learned to accept it as a gift. If I had to relive my path I wouldn't do one thing different, for it has been perfect in every way.

My goal is to help others rejoice in their path and to understand who they truly are, we are not a mistake, we were born this way for a reason. Tune in tonight's show and share your experience, when was your Trans awakening moment? call in (646) 716-6895 or listen in http://www.blogtalkradio.com/transitionradio/2012/10/02/your-trans-awakening-moment

Creator Gods awaken to your path and ride the waive of evolution to your true self.
