TRS Presents An Interview With Lee Penman: Transitions Of His Life

https://www.facebook.com/leepenmanautobiography

I am a former music journalist from Scotland. I contributed to a range of music magazines and newspapers from 1978-88. I also had my own music column in a local newspaper. My first transition was from music journalism to bodybuilding and fitness writing around 1988.

During my time in this field I was a contributing editor to both national and International bodybuilding magazines. I remained in this field for over 30 years, during which time I worked with Dave Palumbo and John Romano on the creation of RX Muscle, for which I became staff writer editor till 2010. On my departure and ever since I have worked with former bodybuilder, Colette Nelson in the medical profession as a writer, and assistant.

I have done many media and TV projects and my current endeavor is my autobiography, Misfit, which focuses on my life, career, and of course that other major transition in my life when I transitioned from female to male officially in 2011.

TRS Presents An Interview With Tia Jolie Phillips: Living Her Best Life

I am a Doctor of Holistic Natural Health & Nutrition (Ph.D.) living on a 20-acre organic/veganic homestead In Central Florida. I have been married for 27 years and I have four children and three grandkids living across the country. I grew up In Detroit where my family did not have much extra money. I had to scrap for everything "extra" that I wanted, so I became a de facto entrepreneur at 12 years old. I knew as a child that I wanted to fly airplanes, and that I would have to find a way to fund flight training. To move toward that dream, I went to the Air Force Academy, then (finally) flight school. I flew across the world, touching about 50 countries, then as I started to grow my family opted Into an instructor pilot job at a west Texas Air Force base. After my service and a divorce, I was back to scrapping to survive and took sales jobs until I could get back into airplanes. This eventually led me to corporate flying and, most recently, my work as a Captain for JetBlue. Though now a 15-year airline Captain, I am on a leave of absence and spend my time helping others for free with their finances and their health. I mentor "coachable" people and help them move towards their honorable health and wealth goals. www.TiaJolie.com

TRS Presents An Interview With Joey Maiza: Learning to Love What Is

Saturday Sept 3rd, Live at 7PM MST,  10 PM EST
My name is Joey. I am from the East Coast of Canada. I grew up battling self-image issues, struggles with addiction, and depression from a very young age.
I never felt comfortable in my body. I started dressing in boys' clothes around the age of 12. Secretly struggling with my identity and sexual orientation. I came out as a lesbian at the age of 21, but that wasn’t enough. I still hated myself and hated my body.
In 2013, at the age of 27, after being diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria, I started my medical transition. I medically transitioned for almost 9 years. I had a mastectomy in 2014 and a hysterectomy in 2016. Something still didn’t feel right. No amount of physical changes fixed the disconnect I felt in my soul. After a lot of emotional and spiritual healing, I awakened to the truth. The root cause of my decision to transition. I am now on a journey of detransitioning, self-love, and bringing awareness to the “not so talked about” side of transitioning. I also feel called to shed light on the agenda that is being pushed on children. The children are our future and we must stand together to protect the children!

TRS Presents An Interview With Michelle: Questioning Extreme Medical Tre...

Catch us live Sunday, August 21st at 3 PM MST, Arizona Time.
Michelle is a 34-year-old detransitioned woman living in Ontario, Canada. She identified as transgender for a period of ten years, during which time she was prescribed testosterone and underwent two medically unnecessary surgeries (mastectomy and hysterectomy).
Seven years after being prescribed testosterone, at nearly 30 years of age, she was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and post-traumatic stress. She detransitioned a few years later.
In the aftermath of her transition, Michelle began to question why she’d been encouraged to pursue an extreme medical treatment that ultimately wasn’t right for her. She became particularly concerned that the affirmation approach by professionals left no room to consider developmental dysphoria and that her undiagnosed disabilities contributed to her experience.
Michelle is a team member of Genspect, an international alliance of professional groups, parents, trans people, detransitioners, and others who advocate for a better model of care than the current affirmative approach. She is currently working on her first book and, in the meantime, posts her writing to her blog, "Some Nuance, Please" and is active on Twitter.
